Households in the Bow Bridge and Devons area reported low water pressure and interruptions from December 2025. Poplar HARCA's update, first dated 13 August 2026 and subsequently expanded, provides its account of the problem and response.

The explanation given

The landlord said local mains pressure and the capacity of building booster pumps were both involved, particularly at busy times and on higher floors. It said meeting minimum mains-pressure requirements did not necessarily ensure reliable supply in every flat.

Poplar HARCA also said its investigation with Thames Water did not find that nearby development had diverted residents' water. These are the landlord's reported findings, not an independent engineering assessment.

Subsequent repair information

The published update records pump works at Langmead, Rudstone, Shillingford and Chagford houses during August. It also describes bottled-water deliveries and access to alternative washing facilities.

This update does not establish that every affected home is now problem-free. Residents experiencing further interruptions should report their own circumstances to the landlord. Individual medical claims in the earlier coverage are not repeated here.
