eXp UK has announced a Premier Teams structure offering a lower commission cap for qualifying estate agency teams, according to Property Industry Eye’s report published on 2 November 2026.
The reported team-leader cap is £18,000 for Premier Teams, compared with £24,000 under the Standard Teams arrangement. The £6,000 difference is a comparison between those stated caps; it is not a promise that every participating agent will earn an additional £6,000.
Qualification requires at least three team members who each generated £20,000 in gross commission income over the previous year. The report says teams must maintain production requirements in subsequent capping periods and satisfy the network’s contribution conditions. Individual team members under the standard arrangement have a separately reported £9,000 cap.
Understand what is being compared
An agent assessing the model should request the current written schedule explaining which commission contributions count towards the cap, when the period begins and what happens after the threshold is reached. Ask how team-leader and member arrangements interact, rather than comparing a single headline number in isolation.
It is also useful to test the model against the team’s own recent activity. Separate completed business from prospective instructions and ask how changes in production affect eligibility. A clear explanation of the rules matters as much as the advertised cap when deciding whether an arrangement suits a particular business.
Technology plans need a separate check
PIE also reports further investment in artificial intelligence tools. Some additional features, including appointment booking and integrations, were described without confirmed launch dates. Agents should therefore distinguish tools available now from capabilities still being developed.
Before relying on a promised feature, ask for a demonstration of the current service, its support arrangements and the steps needed to introduce it to the team. Identify who remains responsible for checking outputs and maintaining client communication when automated tools are involved.

The announcement gives established teams another structure to consider. The practical comparison should include eligibility, contributions, service provision and ongoing obligations, alongside the headline cap. Potential savings depend on the team meeting the applicable conditions, so the published figures are a starting point for questions rather than a substitute for reviewing the agreement.
