What has changed?

The Section 106 Affordable Housing Clearing Service has moved from Homes England to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. It covers England, including London.

The service helps housebuilders share details of affordable homes that have not been sold or contracted, so eligible housing organisations can explore opportunities.

Who can register?

Registration is for housebuilders, registered providers and local authorities. Applicants must demonstrate that they represent an eligible organisation and provide an individual work email address. The department checks registrations before granting access.

Approved housebuilders can maintain their own listings. Approved registered providers and local authorities can search the opportunities submitted by housebuilders and find contact details.

Check the opportunity itself

A listing is a starting point for discussions, not government endorsement of a development. Users remain responsible for checking information and obtaining appropriate professional advice before acting.
