White Rose Finance and Atom bank have announced appointments focused on supporting commercial-finance brokers. The changes concern the people and resources behind transactions, rather than a new mortgage rate or lending offer.
White Rose adds relationship and project support
The Intermediary reported on 6 November 2026 that White Rose has appointed Claire Mitchell as relationship and project support manager. The role includes work with the group’s appointed representative network and its commercial-finance sourcing technology.
Mitchell joins from credit-information business TransUnion, where she spent two years as a key account manager. Before that, she worked at Reward Finance for five years, with experience in lending to small and medium-sized businesses.
The report says White Rose supports around 150 appointed representatives. Mitchell will also contribute to Lender Hub V3, including planned connections with lenders’ systems intended to improve access to lending information. Those development aims should be distinguished from a claim that every integration is already operating.
Atom expands its regional team
In a separate report on the same date, The Intermediary named Jayne McCann and Sean Thorn as additions to Atom’s commercial business development team. Both will support senior commercial BDM Neil Findlay in London and the South.
McCann joins from Coventry Building Society. Thorn’s background includes more than a decade at Aldermore and experience running a commercial-finance brokerage. Atom presents the appointments as an investment in broker relationships and access to experienced contacts for discussing cases.
What to ask when arranging finance
For a business owner or property investor working through a broker, an appointment announcement provides useful background about the support available. It does not establish that a particular application will be accepted or that a lender has changed its criteria.
A practical conversation can cover who handles the case, what information is needed before submission and how questions will be escalated. Ask the broker to distinguish an initial discussion from a confirmed lending decision, and to explain any conditions attached to the proposed finance.
The two announcements illustrate different forms of support: a network role combining relationships and technology, and lender roles focused on regional broker contact. Customers still need to assess the terms and suitability of the actual proposal they receive.
